The Role
Liferay’s greatest asset is the people, so this role is essential as you’ll be building genuine connections with employees.
The Liferay, Inc. People team is constantly working behind the scenes to design, build and deliver the best experience for our employees. As we aim to provide the best experience for our employees, we are looking for an Associate People Services Specialist to join our People team. This position will be responsible for People Experience end to end in the Hungary office while also supporting our regional and global staff team.
A strong candidate will share our team's passion for people, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, enjoy working on his/her tasks, and seek to develop while participating in an environment that enables people to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Be directly responsible for a unique candidate experience, living up to our core values.
  • Ensure every employee interaction leaves a positive impact by anticipating and resolving their needs at the company as a point of contact.
  • First-line support for people managers and employees on all operational issues related to HR.
  • Supports the People Operations team with the coordination of activities related to the employee lifecycle and experience:
  • Coordinates the onboarding/offboarding/crossboarding process
  • Maintains our specific HR tools and platforms, employee data and information.
  • Responds to standard employee inquiries such as letters, forms, etc. in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports the administration of benefit plans and PTOs
  • Works with your local/regional staff team to support the coordination of employee engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure and manage employee payroll and benefits processing.
  • Coordinate and assist with leaves of absence (LOA)
  • Organize and create information in our global people team's internal collaboration tool (Confluence)
  • Provide support to the People team (Regional and Global).


Preferred  Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (discretion and confidentiality).
  • Ability to speak, read and write excellent English and Hungarian (other languages ​​are valued).
  • Technical training, experience in the IT field
  • General knowledge of Excel, MS Suite and Google platform (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
  • Knowledge of Hungarian laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
