About You and this Role
Liferay is seeking a dynamic and versatile People Services & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our EMEA operations (with a key focus on Germany) by managing a broad range of HR generalist functions, including People Services, and supporting our Talent Acquisition efforts. You will play a crucial role in driving policies, projects, and planning across our EMEA workforce, while simultaneously attracting and onboarding top talent.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and recruitment strategies, enabling them to provide expert guidance to managers and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
Key Objectives
People Services:
  • Work with the regional and global People Services team to execute and define People programs, supporting the day-to-day coordination of activities surrounding the Employee Lifecycle and Employee Experience.
  • Support the drafting and implementation of People policies and processes for the EMEA region.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, including induction and 30, 60, 90-day reviews.
  • Review and maintain benefits schemes including employee health and welfare plans.
  • Connect with leaders across EMEA to ensure continuity for cross-site teams and business units.
  • Update and maintain internal People systems and communicate People/Territory updates via Liferay’s communication platforms.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data and ensure all legislative requirements are met
  • Organise the collection, preparation and distribution of payroll information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Issue ad-hoc employee letters
  • Participate and contribute to People team projects as required
Talent Acquisition:
  • Partner and consult with Leadership and hiring managers to identify and anticipate recruitment needs
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment for open requisitions from sourcing, screening, coordination, interviewing/assessment offer stages, and onboarding.
  • Make job offers to candidates and negotiate compensation packages.
  • Utilize various recruitment tools and platforms, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments to ensure a strong cultural and skills fit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Manage the candidate experience, ensuring a positive and professional interaction at all stages.
  • Manage candidate management within the applicant tracking system.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
  • 2/3 years’ experience in a People/Talent Acquisition role 
  • Demonstrated ability on recruiting, and candidate management
  • Strong understanding of EMEA employment laws and best practices.
  • Fluent English (Essential)
  • German Speaking (A significant advantage)
