About You and this Role

Liferay is seeking an Associate Revenue Operations Analyst to join our Revenue Operations team in Tokyo, Japan. Based in one of Liferay’s key APAC markets, you will support the Japan sales team while contributing to global RevOps initiatives that span EMEA, Americas, and APAC. You are a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who thrives on making data clear, accurate, and actionable. As an Associate Revenue Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our regional sales and go-to-market systems. You approach operational challenges with a systems-thinking mindset, looking past temporary fixes to help build long-term data accuracy and scalable processes.
In this role, you will work closely with our regional teams under the guidance of the RevOps Manager for APAC. Your primary focus will be maintaining data integrity inside Salesforce, resolving operational bottlenecks, and continuously identifying manual tasks that can be streamlined through modern automation, CRM features, or AI productivity tools. This position is ideal for an early-career professional eager to master SaaS operational mechanics and champion workplace efficiency.

 

Key Objectives

  • Process Optimization & Workflow Automation Support the mapping and documentation of local revenue operations workflows. Identify repetitive, manual tasks and suggest efficiency solutions using AI tools, CRM features, or basic automations to increase sales productivity. 
  • CRM Administration & Data Hygiene  Execute daily tactical support, user access assistance, and regular data-auditing schedules within Salesforce. Lead regional data-cleaning initiatives to ensure the database remains a reliable source of truth. 
  • Automated Reporting & Insight Visibility Maintain and update routine operational reports and pipeline dashboards for regional stakeholders. Assist in migrating legacy, static spreadsheets into scalable, automated reporting formats to eliminate manual data prep 
  • Frontline Cross-Functional Support Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operations and tools inquiries from local Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams. Resolve standard support requests and escalate complex technical issues when necessary. 
  • Compliance & Enablement Support: Track team adherence to global booking guidelines, discounting matrices, and sales policies. Support the rollout of system updates, operational documentation, and onboarding materials to drive regional tool adoption 

Required Qualifications

  • Business-level fluency in English and Japanese to collaborate effectively with both local and global teams. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data with high attention to detail and a strong interest in learning CRM administration (Salesforce). 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation. 
  • Curiosity for exploring modern productivity tools, such as basic automations, macros, or AI frameworks, to streamline daily tasks.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in sales operations or revenue operations
    • Exposure to automation tools or workflow design
    • Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment
    • Familiarity with revenue and pipeline metrics (e.g., pipeline, ARR, conversion rates) and how they are used to track performance and support decision-making
    • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
