About this role and Key objectives

Entities covered Japan/India/China/Australia/Singapore

  • Manage transactional day to day finance tasks of the local finance functions for Accounts Payable
  • Manage Accounts Receivables to include issuing sales invoices along with cash collection management
  • Preparation of month end, quarter end and year end close process of several APAC entities in line with group reporting procedures, to include Variance Analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure payroll processed accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Manage operating cash flows and update cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis, support with budgeting & forecasting
  • Preparation of VAT/GST/TDS returns and work with local tax advisors to ensure tax compliance requirements are met (Corporation Tax, WHT, local TP requirements)
  • Assist with local & group audit process
  • Demonstrate competency in complex accounting issues and ensure compliance to accounting standards, VAT/GST/TDS regulations and Group internal control procedures, other relevant rules and regulations
  • Support in system implementation and enhancement, including improve workflows and processes based on best practices and automation
  • Quarterly Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Work closely with internal finance professionals in other regions
  • Assist local leadership on finance related matters
  • Aggregating data and assisting with ad hoc reporting requests

Technical and job specific requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years PQE  (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Experience working with APAC region 
  • Excellent team player who is very comfortable working as part of a team and working with professionals in different locations
  • Previous experience working in a multinational organization
  • Experience in transfer pricing and complex intercompany transactions preferred
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and strong analytical skills to look after complex transactions
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision is preferred
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent level of English required, both written and verbal
