About You and this Role
You are a proactive, relationship-driven professional who understands that the best sales results come from solving real technical problems. As an Account Manager for our North America Sales team, you will be the day-to-day face of Liferay for our existing customers, ensuring they are supported, engaged, and growing.
This role is a perfect fit for a "hybrid" talent — someone who has the commercial curiosity to find new opportunities and the technical foundation to understand how Liferay DXP fits into a customer’s stack. You are organized, persuasive, and passionate about helping customers succeed with our technology. You should be open to travel for up to 25%.
Key Objectives
- Portfolio Management: Independently manage a set of North American accounts, ensuring consistent communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Pipeline Generation: Identify and qualify expansion opportunities (upsell/cross-sell) within your assigned accounts to hit quarterly targets.
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Manage full sales cycle of Liferay Products and Services, collaborating with the sales ecosystem including internal teams and channel partners.
- Renewals Excellence: Manage the renewal process end-to-end, identifying potential churn risks early and working with the team to mitigate them.
- Collaborative Support: Act as the bridge between the customer and our internal technical teams to ensure technical roadblocks are cleared quickly.
Required Qualifications
- Enterprise Software Pre-Sales/Sales/Account Experience: Strong experience in Pre-sales, Sales or account management, within the enterprise software industry.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing software features, enterprise architecture, and implementation timelines with technical stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to present business value of complex enterprise technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Liferay Product Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Liferay DXP platform and how it delivers value to enterprise users.
- Technical Background: Previous experience in a sales engineering, or consulting role is a major plus.
- Self-Starter: Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks and accounts with minimal daily supervision.
