About You and this Role 
You will be a key contributor to Liferay's growth in the Japanese market, driving demand generation and brand awareness through digital channels and other B2B demand generation channels. You are a hands-on executor with a solid working knowledge of digital marketing principles. You will manage and execute digital marketing projects , handling moderately complex issues while referring the more complex to higher-level staff. This role is perfect for a self-starter who can take initiative to drive results and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Key Objectives
  • SEO & Content Strategy: Lead the effort to continuously improve our existing website content, ensuring it is valuable, engaging, and ranks highly in search results. Help with adding SEO optimized content to the site.
  • Research and Analysis: Use analytical platforms like Semrush to conduct deep keyword research, competitive analysis, and strategic mapping, ensuring all content initiatives are grounded in data and market opportunity.
  • Localization and Maintenance: Help build out the different locales and maintain them by adding unique content to these different pages. Conduct regular checks on all website content to maintain its quality and address any SEO-related issues immediately.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments on key landing pages to improve the visitor experience and increase the percentage of users who take action (like signing up or buying).
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the Paid Digital team (SEM and Social) to ensure landing pages and user journeys are perfectly optimized to maximize conversion rates for paid traffic.
  • Performance Reporting: Track, measure, and analyze campaign performance metrics (KPIs, ROI) using tools like Google Analytics and present data-driven insights to local and regional marketing leadership.
  • Customer Marketing Support: Work closely with your local sales and channel teams to drive new case studies, plan and execute a wide variety of customer events, and launch regionalized customer campaigns to be relevant to the Japanese market.
  • Partner Marketing: Contribute to the channel revenue by planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns with assigned partners.
Required Qualifications
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience in a hands-on digital marketing role, focused on the Japan market.
  • Solid working knowledge of SEO/SEM, email marketing platforms, and campaign management.
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to independently manage and execute projects under general supervision.
  • Excellent communications and sales interaction skills are a must.
  • Experience managing third-party agencies and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience using a CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Familiarity with the B2B technology or enterprise software industry.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor content updates or email template edits.
