Occupational Therapist - Vancouver, BC - Full-Time

Lifemark Physiotherapy Keefer Place in downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Occupational  Therapist to join our OT Services department. We provide excellent physiotherapy and rehabilitation care to the Vancouver community. Our clinic treats complex orthopedic injuries and chronic and persistent pain. We provide physiotherapy, acupuncture, concussion care, naturopathy, vestibular (dizziness/balance and vertigo) therapy, exercise therapy, occupational therapy, clinical counselling and holistic nutrition services.

This role is intended for a practitioner who is familiar and comfortable working in the following areas: auto insurance, long term disability, return to work planning, and WCB with a keen interest in both mental and physical health.

*We have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of our patients and employees with PPE provided, the spacing of patients, screening, and more. Extensive safety protocols and procedures have been put into place and are mandatory.

 Responsibilities may include the following:
-In clinic interdisciplinary assessments and treatment planning of clients 
-Community based assessment and treatment
-Cognitive assessment and treatment
-Functional Capacity Evaluations
-Job demands analyses, job coaching and return to work planning
-Pre-employment assessments
-Ergonomic assessments and education to clients on ergonomic principles
insurer’s examinations
-Community based assessments after discharge from hospital to address client safety, attendant care other and ADLs
-Attend staff meetings and participate in case conferences and case management
-Regular report writing, charting and communication in a timely manner
 

Qualifications:
-Registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
-Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist is preferred, although new graduates are welcome to apply
-Community/related experience in auto sector legislation is preferred
-
Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
