Heritage Park, a 70 bed facility by Generations Healthcare, is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team as a Treatment Nurse specializing in wound care.
Job Summary:
The role of the Treatment Nurse is to provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction by Medical Director/ Attending Physician and/or the Director of Nursing. Provide treatment accordance with their care plan along with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility

Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Dressing Wounds.
- Respond to requests from the resident, physician, or nursing staff.
- Making rounds with physicians when requested.
- Perform duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
- Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to skin care treatments. Interpret these to the physician, resident family members, and public as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LVN program.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
