Manager, Global FP&A

The Manager, Global FP&A position will be a part of our Global FP&A team, responsibilities include:  Complex modeling and cost tracking, Forecasting and Budgeting, Executive Presentations, Preparation of monthly operational reporting (financial and non-financial), Business partnership, and other financial analysis.  


Reporting Relationships:

      Reports to the VP, Global FP&A

      Works closely with various leaders – both Operational & Functional – throughout the business

      Works in a team environment with various Global FP&A analysts

      Requires coordination and communication with different departments & operating units across the world

      Works closely with other departments and functions within The Adecco Group

Major Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

      Interpretation & analysis of key performance indicators (financial & non-financial), with an emphasis on group level reporting  

      IT global financial reporting and business case design  

      Update monthly corporate forecast including conversations with key functional leaders on variable expenses  

      Partner with various business leaders to drive strategic initiatives via use of financial and non-financial data  

      Problem solves and initiate discussions around how to assess and solve for various business risks & opportunities  

      Ensure proper tracking methods used for global investing, including KPI’s to assess payback and outcomes

      Conduct regular financial reviews with key stakeholders, including Executive team members, to ensure proper transparency around financial data is achieved

      Work to join sets of data from various software platforms to drive meaningful reporting accessible to the business  

      Partner with all areas of the business – both operational & functional, as needed - to drive insights with executive presentations  

      Produce detailed & meaningful ad hoc analytics in support of business needs and assist other analysts on the team to better group insights Performance Metrics  

      A proactive thinker and problem solver, adept at anticipating issues before others  

      Excellent communication skills, comfortable with all levels of management and group employees  

      Completion of work on time and within scope, delivering as promised  

      Genuinely enjoys working with others and keeping a positive attitude  

      Ability to lead a small team towards common goals, while keeping staff motivated, engaged, and growing  

      Creatively finds ways to fill in gaps left by inaccurate data, largely by using prior experience and business knowledge  

      Effectively manages both up and down to achieve goals and deliverables  

      Ability to adapt and flex with critical business needs, while juggling multiple critical priorities, and re-focus staff  

      Ability to self-reflect, learn from prior errors, and improve processes as an effective manager and business partner  

      Self-starter, ability to manage priorities and staff needs in a remote environment  

      Comfortable being independent, ability to work effectively and aware of when additional insights or help is needed  


Required Experience/Characteristics

      Bachelor’s degree in a finance related field  

      Additional education, or Master’s Degree, a plus  

      Minimum of 8 years of experience in a finance related role, prior people management a plus  

      Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to make solid judgment calls and move forward with projects and work  

      Experience monitoring P&L and reporting on variances against forecast or budget  

      Strong organizational, observational, and communication skills  

      Ability to work independently to achieve goals and deadlines  

      Must be dependable, keep a cool head under pressure, and have high integrity  

      Creative problem solving a must  

      Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required  

      Financial systems software skills required, JD Edwards & SFDC a plus  

      Strong systems aptitude & ability to quickly learn new software  

      Positive attitude with flexibility in an ever-changing organization  

      Excellent time & priority management skills critical to success  

      Self-starter and ability to work in a remote role with direct reports  

      Ability to work effectively & find connections with people of diverse backgrounds and skillsets throughout the organization
