Director, E-commerce Marketing
What does an exceptional eCommerce Marketing Director do?
The eCommerce Marketing Director will be part of the Global Marketing team focused on the US mid-sized markets (<1000 full time employees). This role will initially focus on the US market with plans to scale globally.
As the mid-size ecommerce Marketing Director you will serve as the mid-size audience subject matter expert and own the development and execution of the global demand generation marketing strategy. Additionally, and as part of the demand generation strategy, you’ll own the launch and ongoing operations of for LHH’s ecommerce channel and eventually, scale the mid-size marketing strategy globally. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization with strongest alignment to the dedicated mid-sized sales team and broader global marketing team. Supported by the SVP Americas Marketing, you’ll be jointly responsible for key metrics aligned to top of the funnel pipeline as well as revenue generated through the ecommerce channel.
In this role, you will report directly to the SVP, Americas Marketing
Other key stakeholders include sales, technology, and other marketing leads including product marketing.
Your new role
As a key member of the Global Marketing team, you will
Work with SVP Americas Marketing to determine mid-size market strategy including the launch of an ecommerce channel
Plan, execute and maintain an integrated demand generation and ecommerce marketing strategy for the mid-size market that aligns to the modern buyer’s journey
Act as the internal champion for your marketing plan and ecommerce solution - educate sales and the business about your strategy and campaign performance to encourage adoption
Understand and develop customer journeys with associated campaigns to increase conversion rates
Straddle strategic planning responsibilities and require rolling up your sleeves to create and execute campaigns
Create and manage a marketing budget aligned to business and revenue goals
Regularly measure KPIs, establishing short and long term process enhancements to optimize marketing and sales activities
Provide subject matter expertise around technology, platform, and marketing for e-commerce businesses
Collaborate with the mid-size sales team on best practices, market insights, go to market strategies, sales enablement needs, etc.
Provide recommendations on new tools and technology approaches to optimize marketing and e-commerce activity
Manage vendor relationships as needed
Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce, B2B and B2C marketing, and professional services
Minimum 6-10 years of experience working in large, complex organizations
E-commerce marketing and operations experience in B2B or B2C environments
Experience or familiarity with the mid-size (<1000 full-time employees) market
Self-starter attitude combined with strong collaboration skills
Hands-on experience building and maintaining a successful revenue-generating e-commerce channel
Ability to perform market research and customer insight
Experience working in a sales-driven, quota baring structure
Well-developed business acumen
Solid understanding of SEO best practices
Experience managing stakeholders at all levels of organizations
Excellent oral and written presentation skills essential
High attention to detail, project management and coordination skills
Able to navigate ambiguity and organizational dynamics
