Senior Consultant, Assessment & Succession

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help LHH leverage our strong brand and continue to drive growth in Canada. As a member of the Talent & Leadership Development team you will be accountable for managing and delivering executive assessments and succession engagements for our clients. You will have the opportunity to build leadership capacity with leading global companies and help shape and grow the practice. You will manage and deliver leadership assessments and other talent and leadership development programs and be accountable for engagement design, delivery of talent and leadership development services and solutions and ongoing client relationship management in key accounts. You will also contribute to driving growth in our business with new and existing clients.

Major Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

      Partner with consulting and business development colleagues as a subject matter expert (assessment, succession and talent/leadership development) to design solutions for clients

      Advise clients on leadership assessment, succession management or leadership development solutions aligned with their strategy and culture

      Conduct executive assessments, including interviews, psychometrics, simulations and assessment centers

      Manage complex engagements in a fast-paced work environment

      Identify and surface client needs and opportunities to expand our business with existing clients

      Pursue leads referred from others for work with new clients and prepare effective proposals and presentations

      Manage a professional network to maximize business development opportunities


Required Experience/Characteristics

      Comfortable advising senior level leaders

      Significant experience assessing leaders at the Director level and above

      Experienced in conducting talent reviews and developing succession plans

      Familiarity with a range of assessment tools

      Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

      Strong conceptual thinker

      Highly-developed interpersonal skills; forthright and engaging with low-ego

  Capable of linking strategic drivers of client organizations to assessment results and creating meaningful insights

      Ability to build strong relationships and confidently influence internal and external stakeholders

      Embraces change and ambiguity; flexible and open to new ideas

       Master’s Degree or PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behaviour or Business

       5+ years of related consulting experience

       Coaching experience and an ICF designation is an asset

       Ability to travel up to 30%
