What does an exceptional
bi-lingual (Spanish and English) Accountant do?

In this role, you will take responsibility for all G/L accounting and A/R activities for the Swiss Entity of LHH, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely submissions of all financial reporting.


You will also prepare our annual statutory financial statements (Code of Obligation) as well as manage the annual audit and Internal audit.


Reporting Relationships:

  • Report to the Senior Accountant, Germany & Switzerland
  • Partner with Finance Controller and local accounting team



What you’ll do


  • Full ownership of balance sheet and general ledger accounting activities, including Payroll and reconciliation of Social Charges, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and complete balance sheet reconciliation; review, reconcile and explain balance sheet movements
  • Ensure financial information is reviewed to identify issues that may impact the accuracy and reliability of financial information presented
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Support month-end processes ensuring accurate and timely month end, quarter end and year end close 
  • Manage Project reporting


Accounts Receivables

  • Prepare customer invoices, verify accuracy against PO and process for billing
  • Monitor accounts receivable and apply best practices in credit and collections
  • Manage monthly VAT reporting and filing processes
  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of intercompany month end re-charge reports
  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts, key accounts: A/R, Intercompany, VAT, accrued volume discounts



  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance to US GAAP and Adecco Group Policies
  • Maintain appropriate systems and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with Adecco Group Policies and support annual self-testing; remediate process issues (if any) in order to ensure compliance with policies
  • Support preparation of quarterly Management Representation Letter and Legal Risk Review with adequate analysis and support implementation of mitigation actions


Statutory Reporting & Audit

  • Support annual statutory financial statements (Code of Obligation) and statutory to MFRP reconciliation
  • Support during annual audits
  • Support during Internal and Customer Audits



Essential Experience/Characteristics

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a financial accounting role; experience working in audit is desirable
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; International accounting qualification is beneficial
  • VAT Knowledge
  • Experience working with US GAAP
  • Swiss local GAAP knowledge is beneficial
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
