The primary responsibility of the Financial Accountant is to produce accurate financial results and ensure appropriateness of the month-end processes for Hong Kong as well as to provide reporting and other support to the stakeholders as per needs basis.

What you’ll do?

Lead month -end closing and year end closing, maintain all reporting requirements are met
Handle full sets of accounts (including AP, AR, invoice preparation, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, posting accounting transactions, bank payments);
Liaise with external auditors for annual audit and other ad hoc.
Ensure finance and accounting policies, procedures and processes are properly adhered to
Assist in improvement in financial and accounting process
Prepare monthly variance analysis and provide summary explanation

Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Work independently and a good team player
Strong time management skills and effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments
Strong Proficiency in MS Excel
Excellent communication skills with fluency in both Cantonese and English
It would be great if you have
At least 5 years’ experience in an overall accounting role responsible for a particular country
Experience in a commercial finance role
Experience of implementing processes and procedures to generate best practice in operations and finance
Experience in HR consultancy and outplacement helpful but not essential
Experience with multi-national company preferred
High level of attention to detail
Ability to build strong relationships
Operate with a high degree of autonomy in line with policies and procedures
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-changing environment
