Description
The focus of the Career Consultant-on-Call position is to provide individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition to help them identify career options and achieve a successful outcome. This could include a successful transition to a new position, making a career shift, pursuing an entrepreneurial path, or active retirement.

In this role you can expect to
Key Accountabilities - Career Consulting
- Assist candidates across broad spectrum of career transition needs including skill assessment, career goal setting, resume and LinkedIn profile development, job searching, interviewing, and salary negotiation.
- Takes a proactive approach to engaging, motivating, and guiding candidates in the utilization of LHH resources and technology tools.
- Demonstrates and shares expertise in current job-related technology including LinkedIn, AI, ChatGPT, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Company and Business Research databases.
- Takes an active role helping candidates to connect to jobs based on an awareness of current job market trends and understanding of the importance of industry and professional groups.
- Provide coaching expertise to help individuals during interviews and salary negotiations to confidently navigate the job search process and secure appropriate job opportunities.
- Manages time and priorities related to program deliverables and requirements, candidate activity reporting, and engages in LHH training and events when applicable.
All About You
- Preferred 3+ years of experience in career consulting related fields such as human resources, recruitment, coaching, training, or service/delivery.
- Knowledgeable of Talent Acquisition strategies used by recruiters and hiring managers to include ATS systems, applicant sourcing, video screening, salary inquiries, types of interviews, and how to collaborate with recruiters and what to expect.
- Strong job market expertise to assist individuals in identifying where their skills and experience may be a potential fit across various industries and/or job functions.
- Strong service orientation with a passion for making a difference for individuals and a curiosity to learn about unique career/industry experience to assist in identifying viable options.
- Experienced customer service expert with a professional image and attitude, who is sensitive to and enjoys helping people.
- Experience working in a call center or similar setting.
- Experience in virtual coaching and delivering high-touch career consulting services; agility in utilizing Zoom, Microsoft Teams, CRMs, and online portals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer support software (CRM experience a plus)
- Proficiency in career technology tools, including LinkedIn, AI-driven job search platforms.
- College degree preferred.

- Maintain 4.5/5.0 on after-call surveys and service quality scores.
- Follow call flow protocol.

- This is a part-time, variable hourly position. Expected hours of work are 4-6 hours per day however subject to change per business needs.
- Working days are Monday-Friday, with exception to major US holidays.
- Compensation: $37.50 per hour for coaching; $25.00 per hour for training.
Placement within this range is determined based on geographic location, experience, and other compensatory factors.
