Senior Career Consultant & Talent Connector

As the market leader in Career Transition (CT), we are focused on developing our CT and Mobility Delivery model to ensure consistent quality and standards of excellence. To do this, we are looking to expand our team of permanent consultants working alongside our associate community to deliver both one to one support and group learning.

 

This role will also lead LHH’s activities in supporting our CT&M candidates with connections to the hiring community. Working closely with LHH & Other TAG Recruiters as well as other hiring entities such as Executive Search Firms, Head-hunters and Employers’ talent acquisition teams you will be responsible for developing content, events and other projects to support our ‘connection to jobs’ initiatives.

This is a hybrid role with a 50/50 time split between the Career Consultant and Talent Connector elements

  •  London/Virtual (Occasional travel to other LHH UK & Ireland Offices and client sites)

In this role you can expect to

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify, contact & build relationships with hiring organisations (recruiters and corporate clients) including LHH & TAG recruiters
  • Conduct analysis of candidate populations and plan, coordinate, and participate in candidate engagement events such as Candidate Connect Events, Spotlight Days, Career Fairs, and Candidate Work Groups (both virtually and onsite)
  • Work closely with the Global Connect Team to ensure UK & Ireland (UK&I) Job Market Insights & Industry Infocuses are fit for purpose & review any specific talent pool requests.
  • Provide LHH CT&M Consultants (Perm & Associates) with current job market intelligence to support their work with CT&M candidates
  • Provide complimentary calls to discuss the UK Job Market with Executives and overseas candidates
  • Delivery of one to one career coaching according to the parameters of the delivery model and across a broad range of sectors and at all levels from graduate to C-Suite 
  • Key performance indicators to be achieved in line with the overall business strategy – Quality data, landing data, evaluation return rate 
  • Must have experience of facilitating group learning events i.e workshop, networking, candidate event or client experience. 
  • Ability to demonstrate social media and AI tools in order that candidates are using current job search channels 
  • Ability to deliver candidate engagement sessions 
  • Input into the development of new CT innovations including testing and research 
  • Research into, and creation of, new material to continually update and develop our career transition offering to clients and candidates 
  • Facilitation of training LHH associates in tools and methodology 
  • Work closely with the Engagement and Sales teams to ensure that the service to candidates reflects the contractual guidelines 

 

 

All About You

  • Coaching qualification essential and knowledge of career transition coaching and techniques including one to one coaching, group facilitation, webinar experience, psychometrics 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent business experience with evidence of continual professional development relating to coaching, counselling and/or career transition skills 
  • Strong social media skills including active use of LinkedIn 
  • Ability to effectively keep records through online information management system. 
  • Experience of virtual delivery including Zoom and Microsoft Teams 
  • Strong administrative skills in order to maintain candidate records effectively and in a timely manner 
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with career portals including use of premium databases 
  • Experience of HR, the UK&I Recruitment sector and outplacement services would be beneficial 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels  
  • Ability to produce creative career transition materials such as workshops and workbooks 
  • Experience of working on-site with clients including career centres 
  • Good admin skills in order to maximise utilisation of diary time 
  • A collaborative approach to working that embraces diversity of thought to achieve great outcomes 
  • A passionate focus on making a difference to the candidate’s experience of career transition
