Global PMO Director- HR & Talent Advisory, LHH (UKI)
Description
The Global PMO Director is responsible for driving strategic project execution, manage our Project management team, and lead customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality, LD& Advisory solutions across global and regional accounts.
This role leads a global team of customer-facing project managers and ensures the flawless execution of all assigned programs and solutions through proactive coaching, guidance and development. Representing the PMO in various scenarios, (e.g. RFP responses, Sales pitches and select largescale implementations) is required. The ideal candidate will be motivated and passionate about leading and developing teams, have a strong customer, revenue, and operational focus, proactively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and thrive in a complex, global organization.

Key Accountabilities
Project Oversight & Governance
- Actively participates in global project scoping – provides timely and fact-based recommendation regarding level of PMO support.
- Represents the PMO as needed, (e.g. RFP support, Proposal development, Sales presentations, Pre/post sale scoping exercises)
- Ensure adherence to LHH delivery governance standards (e.g., charters, kick-offs, status reporting, closure)
- Establish operating rhythms for project status updates and health reporting.
- Champion global privacy and data compliance in process development and delivery
- Escalate unresolved project issues to the leadership team.
Team Leadership & Development
- Staff and manage team members (NA, UK&I and global PMO) to meet the business needs including securing headcount/budget, hiring, onboarding, mentorship, career development, and performance.
- Develop a strong pipeline of future leaders and foster an engaged, skilled workforce.
- Coach account services and project management teams on customer-facing excellence.
Project Management Enablement
- Guide the PMO Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure consistency and standards globally.
- Create onboarding curriculum and standardized templates/tools for project managers.
- Collaborate on technology platform alignment and template availability.
- Partner with global functions to launch enablement strategies and maturity models.
- Define and manage processes as needed, collaborate with global business process owners on continuous improvement and feedback loops.
Project Technology
- Ensures all in-flight and new projects adhere to PM technology platform requirements, (e.g. project plan upload, activity/status updates, project templates)
- Support new technology implementations, as FutureFit / PSA
- Escalates technology challenges or user education needs to PMO.
Manage quality, consistency, and capacity of services
- Direct to make effective and timely assignments and monitor to ensure customer success.
- Ensure utilizing best practices and adhering to LHH processes.
- Manage and mature customer success project management and account services, including collaboration with regional and country leaders to monitor solution delivery and ensure projects are meeting contractual obligations, stakeholder expectations, and internal/external KPIs are within the span of control of customer success.
- Ensure the achievement and reporting of KPIs.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement efforts.
- Handle issue escalation from internal stakeholders and customers, with customer focus and a continuous learning mindset.
Customer Success Strategy
- Represent PMO in RFPs, sales pitches, and large-scale implementations.
- Simplify delivery of contracted L&D and Advisory services and enhance client experience.
- Align project delivery with customer expectations, outcomes, and business goals.
All About You
- 8+ years of leadership and project management in related HR and Advisory solutions
- Proven experience in global project management leadership leading complex, multi-country or global projects/accounts in a customer-facing role.
- Strong operational, customer, and revenue focus.
- Ability to collaborate across matrixed environments and drive strategic initiatives.
- Passion for team development, enablement, and high-growth business environments.
- Needs to be able to train others in project and program management disciplines. In-depth project management training and/or certifications in multiple modalities necessary.
- Adept at directing through systems, tech savvy with user experience (e.g. Salesforce, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, LMS, MicroStrategy etc.)
- Builds effective and engaged teams, with a focus on people-first and development/coaching.
- Strong performance history of managing customer-facing project managers, virtually, across multiple countries.
- Analytical and makes decisions using data, able to design and execute reports and presentations that drive decision making.
- Strong interpersonal, influence, and conflict management skills
- Comfort with change and ambiguity, effective change leadership skills.
- Tech savvy with user experience on internal and external L&D, sales, and PPM technology / tools (e.g., PSA, Salesforce, Clarity, MS Project, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, LMS, HRIS, etc.) Understands SDLC.
- University degree strongly preferred.
