HR Business Partner - LATAM

The HR Business Partner is a key professional in LHH’s Human Resources department, responsible for closely collaborating with business leaders and teams to provide strategic HR solutions that drive organizational success. This role requires a unique combination of interpersonal skills, technical HR knowledge, and a deep understanding of the Latin American business and cultural environment.

 

The HR Business Partner plays an essential role in the organization’s success and sustainability, acting as a bridge between business strategy and HR practices that drive employee engagement and performance in Latin America.

 

 

Reporting Relationships:

  • This position reports directly to the Global Head of HR for Career Transition & Mobility/Leadership Development, with a dotted line to Recruitment Solutions.

Location:

  • This position would be in LATAM. Preference is to have the role in Mexico City, Mexico or Sao Paulo, Brazil. This role can also be in Chile or Columbia.

  

In this role you can expect to

Key Accountabilities

  • Scope of the role: LATAM, CTM/LD, and RS. Main business partners: Head of CTM/LD LATAM, Head of RS LATAM.
  • Experience in international and matrix organizations.
  • Ability to communicate in three languages (Spanish, Portuguese, and English), with sufficient experience to work with several business lines locally and globally.
  • Start-up mentality and enthusiasm required to review and enable the expected growth plan.
  • Strong collaboration skills, to partner across all LHH verticals and with Adecco.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, able to read P&L and work with business results required to work with local bonus plans and commissions.
  • Ability to work with difference seniority levels across all LATAM leaders.
  • Location: Mexico. Able to utilize the existing SSCs and infrastructure in Mexico, and scale for the entire LATAM, quickly developing a people/talent plan to address the expected growth in the next 2 years.
  • Availability to travel monthly, if necessary, mainly to Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and later to other countries such as Panama as we start opening new locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Collaborate with senior management and business leaders to understand and address HR needs aligned with corporate and strategic objectives.
  • Organizational Development: Design and implement organizational development programs that promote culture, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Talent Management: Participate in the identification, selection, and development of key talents, as well as succession planning.
  • Performance Management: Support business leaders in performance management and development of improvement plans for employees.
  • Labor Relations: Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with local labor laws and effectively manage labor relations.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Advise on the creation of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits policies.
  • Data Analysis: Use data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and propose improvements.
  • Organizational Change: Facilitate organizational change and change management throughout the company.

 

 All About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field; Master’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Management is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of labor laws and cultural practices in Latin America.
  • Regional HRBP experience responsible for multiple countries concurrently. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese (preferred).
  • Key Competencies: Internal customer orientation, strategic thinking, empathy and active listening skills, ability to influence and negotiate, problem-solving skills, results orientation.
