We provide our residents with top-notch living experiences and are seeking a talented Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Homecoming at The Resort, a beautiful community in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  

Career Overview: As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our residents by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. 

Your key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential apartments, common areas, and facilities.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems.
  • Perform painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs as needed.
  • Assist with apartment turnovers and ensure units are in top condition for new residents.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the property management team and fellow maintenance staff.
Note: These responsibilities are a general summary of the job duties performed. Other duties may be required, as needed. 

 Skills to help you Succeed: 

  • Proven experience in residential maintenance, preferably in upscale apartment communities.
  • Strong knowledge of basic maintenance, including drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting. HVAC experience is a big plus.
  • Basic carpentry and painting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability for on-call and emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance are required (for electric golf cart operation in CA.).

 NOTE: If candidates prefer to live on-site, a 20% employee discount is available, or a $250 employee discount at a sister community.  Living within 35 minutes of the community is required. Hours for this position are 10am-7pm. Other requirements include:  

  • Moving and transporting heavy objects, as needed
  • Bending/stooping/walking repeatedly over time and throughout your community.
  • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders as required.
  • Ability to exchange information and communicate with Company employees and the public by speaking/reading/writing English.
