About your new Career:
Lewis Apartment Communities, a division of one of the largest privately owned Real Estate developers and Property Managers in the nation, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for Sahara West, a beautiful 292-home rental community in Las Vegas, NV.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive and positive team leader. The right candidate should have a strong, proven supervisory background and experience in all aspects of general residential maintenance.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Management of Maintenance and Grounds staff
- Strong all-around maintenance skills in the apartment industry
- Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance (dishwashers, washers/dryers, etc) installation and repair
- Construction, renovation, and/or lease up experience a plus
- Making ready units for new occupancy
- Interaction with the community manager and staff
- Walking your the property with the community manager and other leaders
- Maintaining units of current residents
- Managing/negotiating with outside vendors
- Administrative reporting and expense management
- Maintaining the leasing office and all recreation facilities
- Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Other requirements include:
- Moving and transporting heavy objects, as needed
- Bending/stooping/walking repeatedly over time and throughout your community.
- Ascend/descend stairs and ladders as required.
- Ability to exchange information and communicate with Company employees and the general public by speaking/reading/writing English.
To be Successful, your background should include:
- Prior staff supervision background
- Strong all-around residential maintenance skills in the apartment/residential industry
- Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance (dishwashers, washers, stoves, etc.) installation and repair
- HVAC Certification is a big plus
SALARY & BENEFITS:
In addition to a competitive hourly wage ($30-32/hour depending on experience) Lewis Maintenance Supervisors earn:
- Annual bonus potential and annual salary reviews for raises
- Option of living on-site with a 2-bedroom upstairs apartment with a garage (hourly pay rate will be adjusted)

NOTE: The hours for this position are 8 am-5 pm and the days off are Saturday & Sunday (on-call duties will be rotated).
