ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK – Las Vegas, NV

The Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest real estate developers and property management companies in the nation, has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our regional office in Las Vegas, NV. This is a full-time, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm position.
 
Reporting to the Vice President of Property Management, you would manage billing and invoicing work on a variety of tenant accounts and projects, and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
 
Some of your Responsibilities include:
 
  • Review and process invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and packing slips
  • Obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and checks
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
  • Partnering/providing support to the California accounting team as required
Requirements:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with our accounting software (JDE) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with internal and external business partners
