About your new Career:

Lewis Apartment Communities, a division of one of the largest privately owned Real Estate developers and Property Managers in the nation, currently seeks an experienced Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for a full-time position at Homecoming at The Resort, a busy and beautiful Lewis-owned apartment community in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in the supervision of staff and operations at this exciting community. 

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of Maintenance Technician & Grounds-keeping staff
  • Making ready units for new occupancy
  • Interaction with General Manager and staff
  • Walking property with general manager
  • Maintaining units of current residents
  • Managing/negotiating with outside vendors
  • Maintaining the leasing office and all recreation facilities

Note: These responsibilities are a general summary of the job duties performed. Other duties may be required, as needed.

Other requirements include:
  • Moving and transporting heavy objects, as needed
  • Bending/stooping/walking repeatedly over time and throughout your community.
  • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders as required.
  • Ability to exchange information and communicate with Company employees and the general public by speaking/reading/writing English. 

To be successful, your background should include:

  • Prior staff supervision background
  • Strong all-around residential maintenance skills in the apartment/residential industry
  • Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance (dishwashers, washers, stoves, etc.) installation and repair
  • HVAC Certification is a big plus

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Hours for this position are 9am-6pm and the days off are Fri/Sat.

 In addition to a competitive hourly wage ($27-$29/hour depending on experience) Lewis Assistant Maintenance Supervisors earn:
