VICE PRESIDENT – PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (Northern California)
Lewis Planned Communities, part of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest privately owned real estate developers in the nation, is actively seeking a Vice President, Planned Community Development to join its fast-growing Northern California Division located in Sacramento, Ca.
As our top candidate, you will join a team of experienced development professionals and report to the SRVP/Regional Manager. Your career functions include some or all the following:
Lewis Planned Communities, part of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest privately owned real estate developers in the nation, is actively seeking a Vice President, Planned Community Development to join its fast-growing Northern California Division located in Sacramento, Ca.
As our top candidate, you will join a team of experienced development professionals and report to the SRVP/Regional Manager. Your career functions include some or all the following:
- Project management for acquisition and development projects, and special project assignments.
- Pro forma generation and analysis, and review and organization of project documents.
- Management of project schedule and budget
- Research of public agency regulations/requirements.
- Preparation of reports, title and escrow coordination, permit processing, and assistance with land disposition.
Top candidates will have 5-7+ years of project management experience working in the real estate development and/or homebuilding industry with a reputation of honesty and integrity.
Additional experience for your success will include most or all the following:
- Planning, zoning concepts, general plan, CEQA process
- State and federal permitting (including environmental permitting)
- Management of project infrastructure design and construction
- Experience working with state, local and federal governmental agencies
- Management of outside contractors such as architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, utility consultants, soils engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals with technical proficiency (scope of work, project requirements, project timeline)
- Experience in managing projects, budgets, schedules and achieving milestones
- Coordinate and interact with other managers and members of the team
- Experience with the title and escrow process
- Purchase contract review and negotiations thriving in a fast-paced team environment with a passion for successful outcomes
Education & More Info: At a minimum, candidates must have bachelor’s degree and a California real estate license. If you are not licensed, they will be asked to obtain one following commencement of employment (Lewis will reimburse license cost). A master’s degree is a plus. This is an onsite, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm position. Some auto travel within Northern California will be required. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required for driving on company business.
