Your Role: Accountant, Family Office

As an Accountant reporting to the Family Office Accounting Supervisor, you will support the financial operations of various trusts, private entities, and individuals. This role works closely with company ownership and senior executives and requires a high level of discretion, accuracy, and professionalism. The position focuses on day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting within a family office environment. 

What You'll Do

  • Manage the accounting for multiple trusts, private entities, and personal financial accounts simultaneously
  • Maintain complete and accurate general ledgers, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Perform complex bank, investment, and general ledger reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Post monthly income, distributions, contributions, investment activity, and interest accruals
  • Prepare personalized financial reports, statements, and other recurring deliverables for company owners, family members, and senior executives
  • Prepare weekly cash reports and support ongoing cash management and liquidity planning
  • Request funding, coordinate cash transfers, and record investment contributions
  • Develop annual budgets and prepare quarterly professional and administrative fee schedules
  • Support cash flow forecasting and financial analysis to assist with financial planning
  • Process invoices and prepare weekly check runs while ensuring appropriate approvals and accurate coding
  • Maintain organized financial records and support quarterly and year-end reporting requirements
  • Exercise the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and personal information

Experience for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with responsibility for general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Experience managing accounting for multiple entities, trusts, or family office environments is a plus
  • QuickBooks experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Self-motivated professional with sound judgment and a high level of discretion
Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• This position is based in-office at the Upland Corporate Office
 
Compensation & Perks

• The Lewis Group of Companies reasonably expects to pay $33–$36.00 per hour for this role, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, location, and business needs.
