ABOUT THE ROLE
At LeoVegas, our mission is to provide the ultimate gaming experience by ensuring our product decisions are fueled by world-class data. As our new Head of Data Analytics, you will be a key strategic partner to our data leadership team, helping to drive our long-term data vision forward.
We are looking for a senior expert with deep experience in the data and analytics field who can take full ownership of our strategy from day one. You won’t just be managing a team; you’ll be shaping the future of how we understand player behavior and product performance, with the opportunity to mentor a high-performing group of analysts across several international locations.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Strategic Leadership: Recruiting, leading and managing a talented team of 7 analysts across Malta, Sweden, Italy, and Poland, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Acting as a key collaborator for Product Managers and Data Engineering teams to align our data efforts with core business goals.
- Product Performance: Leading projects, such as analyzing the ROI of self-developed features and optimizing player usage through behavioral data.
- Challenging the Status Quo: Proactively identifying improvements in technology and direction, and providing strategic input to senior stakeholders.
- Driving Strategy: Developing and implementing strategies for leveraging data analytics to drive business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Cross functional collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Data & Analytics, Marketing, Product, Retention & Operations, to streamline processes, manage stakeholder relationships, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Regular reporting: Overseeing the delivery of regular reports for senior management, making sure that key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement are highlighted.
- Following trends: Staying abreast of advancements in data analytics technology and tools, evaluating their potential impact on business analysis capabilities and recommending adoption as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven Leadership: Experience leading and growing people, with a focus on delivering clear business value.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on skills in SQL and Python, with the ability to visualize complex data into concise, actionable insights.
- Strategic Mindset: Extensive experience using data to drive large-scale business decisions and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- Behavioral Traits: A humble, adaptable approach—someone who is not afraid to say "I don't know, but I'll find out," and who thrives on driving change.
NICE TO HAVES
- Product Analytics Expertise: Previous experience with behavioral data tools (like Google Analytics or Mix Panel) and experimentation.
- BI Knowledge: Experience working with data visualisation tools.
- Statistical Foundation: Working experience with statistical techniques.
