Job description:

As part of our organic growth it is the first time we are entering the USA market (Y2022). We are now introducing a completely new position of Internal Audit Executive who is going to be responsible for the internal audit of our legal entity located in New Jersey. 

Due to the regulatory requirements the role is located (strictly!) in New Jersey. Headquarters of the company is located in Stockholm, Sweden. Your day to day internal audit work will be decentralised from the rest of the Group Internal audit department, however you will work closely with the Group Internal audit department and Group Risk Management department. The role will not entail responsibility for managing staff. You will be reporting to the BoD (Audit Committee) together with Group Audit Executive. 

The position requires a very self driven attitude and enjoying working both independently with limited supervision and also in teams. Proven working experience in project management is highly beneficial. You also need excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the delivery process.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Head of Group Internal Audit to align on the audit plan, discuss findings and insights. Provide input to the development of audit project and risk assessments. 
  • Develop audit programmes based upon understanding the business and the key risks for America.
  • Complete risk-based audit work in the American Entity 
  • Communicate internal audit potential findings in a timely and collaborative manner with process owners to develop creative and practical recommendations to remediate control deficiencies focused on root cause.
  • Document work that meets the audit evidence requirements IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
  • Lead and perform multiple tasks on assurance and advisory engagements from planning through fieldwork and reporting.
  • Participate in fraud scheme discussions for the audit scope. 
  • Drive projects with the objective to improve the internal audit process
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships within the team and across the business
  • Work independently, identify and communicate solutions to challenges, maintain a strong focus on business priorities and be persistent in follow-through
  • If needed, perform oversight of the work performed by IT auditor

Who are we looking for?: 

  • Academic degree in business, economics, law or similar
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (primarily in auditing and/or finance)
  • Previous experience 3+ years as an internal or external auditor of digital data driven companies with extensive knowledge of controls. Quality and controls wise the PCAOB quality is expected. 
  • Online gambling industry knowledge (AML, Responsible gambling, Compliance and Licences) is very beneficial

Working Hours:

LeoVegas has a hybrid working environment with 2 days working from home per week and 3 days working from the office as we want to give our employees flexibility to structure their work week while at the same time being able to provide information, team practices and social activities.
