Senior Engineering Manager
Description
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as Senior Engineering Manager for our Engineering Experience group. This team plays a critical role in shaping the technical architecture of our systems, building frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and providing support to other engineering teams.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Lead and manage the Engineering Experience team, overseeing technical architecture, framework development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and implement strategies to optimise the engineering workflow, streamline development processes, and improve overall system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build and maintain the paved road used by other engineering teams, providing best practices, guidelines, and tools to accelerate development and ensure consistency across projects.
- Manage an SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team responsible for providing specialised support to other engineering groups, including troubleshooting complex issues, optimising system performance, and implementing best practices in reliability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements, prioritise initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and standards.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience in implementing and managing cloud infrastructure solutions
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Demonstrated track record of driving innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
