Customer Performance Analyst

Commercial Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Description

Position at LeoVegas UK

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are one of the fastest-growing brands in the UK online casino and sports betting industry. Backed by the strength of MGM Resorts International and LeoVegas Group, we’re bringing the gold standard of entertainment to the UK market.

As we scale rapidly, understanding customer behaviour, optimising retention, and maximising marketing ROI are critical to our success. That’s why we are expanding our analytics capability with a dedicated Customer Performance Analytics Senior Manager - a commercial problem-solver who can turn customer data into actionable insights that drive growth.

The Customer Performance Analyst is not just a data expert, but a commercial customer leader - proactively shaping how CRM, Marketing, and Commercial teams understand and act on customer behaviour.

You will own the insight agenda across retention, generosity, and lifecycle performance, providing clarity on what drives customer value. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring insights are embedded into decision-making and revenue growth is achieved sustainably.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Lead and mentor a team of up to two customer performance analysts, providing guidance and support.
  • Act as the customer performance lead, owning and proactively driving the insights agenda across CRM, Marketing, and Commercial functions
  • Collaborate with Central teams to build and deliver retention & generosity reporting, measuring the ROI of free bets, spins, bonuses, and loyalty perks
  • Provide commercial insight into the end-to-end customer lifecycle (acquisition → onboarding → active play → subscription → retention → churn)
  • Lead campaign performance reviews, ensuring CRM and Marketing investments deliver long-term customer value and sustainable revenue
  • Partner with Marketing to optimise budget allocation, CAC vs. LTV modelling, and promotional efficiency
  • Collaborate with Product & Commercial teams on game performance, homepage optimisation, and promotional mechanics to enhance customer outcomes
  • Deliver exec-level reporting and strategic recommendations to shape revenue, retention, and player loyalty
  • Contribute to a world-class analytics framework through tagging, baseline reporting, and journey analytics, ensuring high-quality, reliable insights.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Proven experience in a CRM and marketing analytics leadership role within online gambling, gaming, or a similarly fast-paced digital sector
  • Consultancy craft - skilled in problem solving, hypothesis-led thinking, project prioritisation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of how digital businesses generate revenue and profit
  • Expertise across multiple analytics domains: performance, product, operations, customer, and commercial
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Excellent communicator, able to present complex data in clear, concise, and compelling ways to senior stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable working across multiple teams and disciplines.
