ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Internal Auditor, you will be joining a dynamic and skilled team dedicated to ensuring the integrity of our financial controls and adherence to regulatory compliance. Your role is critical in assessing and evaluating financial processes, operational procedures, and internal controls to identify potential risks, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. You will participate in various audits, from financial control SOX reviews to compliance assessments, and play an integral part in ensuring the Group adheres to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including finance, operations, legal, and senior management, to provide valuable insights that drive informed decision-making. The projects you engage in will directly impact the Group’s ability to mitigate financial and compliance risks and maintain robust financial governance. With the ever-evolving nature of regulatory landscapes and financial best practices, this role offers unique opportunities to stay ahead of emerging trends while making a meaningful impact on the company's long-term success.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Monitoring the effectiveness of compliance, financial and operational controls and recommending/implementing areas of improvement to address risks.
- Planning, executing and undertaking control reviews across the organisation.
- Providing written and verbal reports of findings that describe any potential risks and suggesting remedial actions.
- Assisting other teams, such as Compliance, in their audit requirements and facilitating external audits as necessary.
- Supporting and coordinating the risk assessment and risk management processes across the business, reporting on risks and mitigating actions
- Participating in and consulting on business projects that require a control advisory input.
- Assisting with the development and periodic review of policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
- Supporting the organisation in its efforts to remain in compliance with applicable laws, standards and regulations.
- Updating and extending processes as necessary to accommodate business needs.
- Driving for continual improvement in all processes and standards.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Big 4 trained and holder of a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIA)
- Prior experience in a similar role in the betting and gaming industry
- A strong interest in testing control design, implementation and operating effectiveness.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Project management skills.
Nice to have skills:
- Prior experience within an online gaming operator.
- Some prior SOX experience.
