We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, self-starter with excellent analytical skills who is passionate about using data to help us drive strategy, measure every area of the business and influence decision making. 

The person in this role will partner with LegalZoom’s Executive team to define and execute against our strategic priorities for the business. Specifically, this includes defining and executing growth strategies and initiatives based on business insights, and day-to-day execution in close collaboration with our Business Leads and central functions. This person will also drive the regular quarterly, monthly and weekly rhythm of business, such as Business Insight reviews and forecast. 

The successful candidate is expected to act as consultant to business stakeholders, collaborate effectively with internal customers and cross-functional data teams to solve problems, drive cross-functional strategic initiatives and deliver innovative solutions, install appropriate levels of structure and control, dive deep where necessary, and deliver successfully against high standards. This individual will be detail-oriented, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units. 

You will 

  • Partner closely with executives to define and support business critical initiatives 
  • Assess trends in the business (internal and external) and conduct bespoke analyses to understand performance versus plan versus market trends 
  • Contextualize our performance in our corporate strategy; build storylines to help communicate the “why” behind our performance and expectations for the future 
  • Drive key strategic initiatives that are cross-functional in nature and require coordination across multiple teams and functions 
  • Build operational rigor and data-backed operating mechanisms to build a data-driven culture in the organization. 

You have 

  • 12+ years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or private equity. Equivalent experience in corporate finance or corporate strategy also considered. 
  • Self-starter, who can navigate through ambiguity 
  • Comfortable working with and manipulating large data sets to tease out insights 
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial results into easy-to-understand facts and stories 
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders while driving work both individually and through business partners 
  • Undergraduate degree from top 25 institution desired 
  • MBA Desired, but not mandatory
