Overview
Following a recent acquisition, LegalZoom has the need for a motivated and driven human resources business partner (HRBP) to join our team as we expand our legal services efforts. This role will report into the Director, HRBP (Integration Lead), with a first priority to act as the conduit between the integration efforts and the newly acquired business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management, supporting sales organizations, and demonstrating effective project ownership to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure successful outcomes.
This position will work onsite in our Reno, NV office, with travel to our Las Vegas location as needed.
You will
Integration and Change Management
- Lead the onsite HR integration efforts for the newly acquired business, enabling alignment of policies and processes as the integration plan is implemented.
- Support change management initiatives, while acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance and recommendations on change-related concerns and solutions, both from the Formation Nation and LegalZoom perspectives.
- Act as a key partner to the integration project team to support in reviewing, recommending and aligning performance management, compensation structures, and career development frameworks across both businesses.
HR Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic HR partner to sales leadership to develop and implement durable organizational structures and workforce planning strategies, ensuring talent alignment with business objectives and high performing teams.
- Monitor and analyze people data (e.g., attrition, performance, engagement) to identify trends and proactively address challenges, while driving initiatives to enhance sales culture, engagement, and productivity in alignment with company values and objectives
- Support recruitment and retention efforts by working closely with talent acquisition and sales leadership to attract and retain top sales talent.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly in the context of business changes.
- Drive and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts
- Lead key talent initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and career pathing.
You have
- 5+yrs experience in related field and strong company acquisition experience
- Proven success working in an HR department and change management background
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in an ambiguous and ever evolving environment
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
- Knowledge of national and local laws and regulations related to employment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
The national range for this role is ($87,000 - $116,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
