Overview

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media. The ideal candidate will be based in LA and have proven experience leveraging social media to build brands, grow communities, and generate engagement and advocacy. As a champion of the social media plan and community manager, you will implement tactics to effectively and authentically connect with key audiences while ensuring quality and consistency in our brand voice.


You will

  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to define social content strategy and execution plan
  • Drive strategy and execution of brand marketing initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message across multiple consumer touch points including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Provide input on content and brand strategy for social across multiple initiatives and deliverables, and across multiple channels to meet and/or exceed metric targets including engagement, follower growth, impressions, reach, traffic, revenue, etc.
  • Manage content calendar and strategy to ensure alignment with marketing, sales, customer care, product, HR, and partner opportunities
  • Align with brand initiatives, events, press, and other activations that require content and social media integration
  • Implement audience and community strategy on how to generate awareness and engagement
  • Identify new trends to spark new innovative content development for organic platform growth
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors involved with producing content, community management, etc.
  • Manage monitoring and reporting on social media performance

 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with the components of leading high impact social media campaigns including strategy, conceptualization, execution, monetization, establishing and reporting success metrics
  • Large agency background and the experience working across multiple clients is a big plus
  • Extra points for having managed direct reports or having been responsible for the work of others is important
  • Proven results building a social following across a variety of channels and using social to drive engagement and elevate brand reputation
  • A passion for social media and deeply familiar with online behaviors and how to communicate across the various platforms with a good understanding of social media KPIs, native platform insights, and third-party applications
  • Experience implementing traditional public relations programs; non-profit experience a plus
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to make sound copy decisions using intuition and data
  • Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills that enable you to deliver against accelerated timelines
  • A natural self-starter who is great at working in proactive and reactive environments where timing and quickness are key to success
