Overview
As Group Manager – Paid Outbound, you will help drive LegalZoom’s growth by leading our
performance marketing program across paid social and programmatic channels, across strategy, analytics, organizational leadership, and execution. You will play a pivotal role in defining program strategy and driving performance through media strategy, campaign execution and optimization, and advanced analytics.
We are seeking a highly structured, technical, and analytical marketer for this role. The ideal
candidate has a deep understanding of the media landscape, extensive hands-on-keys experience across various platforms, and proven success managing both internal teams and external agency/media partners. They must be highly strategic, have a data-driven mindset, deeply collaborative, and be willing and able to get hands-on to drive results.
You will
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives for our Paid Outbound program, across paid social, programmatic, audio, direct, and linear channels
- Oversee budget, performance, and campaign management of paid social and programmatic campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, Reddit, Amazon, and other DSPs/SSPs
- Build confidence in ROI of managed programs by calibrating the right measurement framework between MMM/MTA results, incremental/causal impact studies, in-platform/third-party performance metrics and lift studies, and other relevant data sources
- Analyze campaign performance, leveraging analytics and attribution models, including multitouch attribution, to identify opportunities for continuous optimization and ROI maximization on provided budgets
- Manage overall testing roadmaps and approvals, staying informed of industry trends, the competitive landscape, partner capabilities, and product tests to guide the implementation of innovative, impactful, and measurable tests
- Drive conversations on strategy, key campaign insights, performance metrics, and recommendations with senior stakeholders and partners, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- Establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (e.g. Creative, Product Marketing, Product, Data Science, Legal) to explore new opportunities and ensure timely and seamless execution
- Lead relationships with media agencies and partners, ensuring all strategies and executions align with LegalZoom’s goals and KPIs to drive tangible business impact
- Build out, develop, and lead a best-in-class team of digital marketers (2 currently open roles), providing guidance on best practices for programmatic and paid social campaigns, while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
You have
- 9+ years of performance marketing or marketing analytics experience required
- 4+ years of leadership experience required; ability to support team by jumping in to execute day-to-day tasks as needed while pursuing a broader strategic vision
- 5+ years of hands-on-keys experience across major Programmatic and Paid Social platforms such as Google Ads, Trade Desk, or Meta required. Strong foundational understanding of programmatic advertising, DSPs, and programmatic buying strategies.
- Ability to think strategically about how to leverage paid media channels to achieve overarching business goals, while maintaining attention to detail in execution.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with experience in advanced analytics tools, campaign reporting, and A/B testing. Experience with multitouch attribution modeling and optimizing marketing spend based on data-driven insights.
- Martech and measurement expertise. Must be comfortable implementing conversion tags and APIs, utilizing MTA/MMM tools, designing measurement tests, and evaluating/implementing measurement partners.
- Experience with Segment and Rockerbox a plus.
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $114,000 to $228,000. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
