Overview

LegalZoom is looking for an SEO Strategist with a focus and expertise in technical search engine optimization to drive organic growth for our industry-leading brand. S/he will be responsible for identifying technical opportunities to improve the overall experience and contributing to the team search traffic and financial goals. Reporting to the Head of SEO, s/he will also partner with cross-functional teams like product marketing, integrated marketing, and web development to guarantee discoverability and optimization across digital platforms.

 

You will

  • Define and own the strategy, planning, and measurement of SEO technical initiatives to drive organic traffic
  • Lead day-to-day SEO technical conversations for LegalZoom and it’s subsidiaries to inform the quarterly objectives to improve search engines abilities to consume information and properly index content
  •  Stay current on search engine updates, strategies and new technology that will impact the overall search experience
  • Supervise SEO-friendly product marketing and consumer marketing collateral
  • Work with technical leads to infuse SEO best practice into website development across current and emerging technology integrated into LegalZoom; educate teams with best practices documentation and regular training
  • Own organic growth reporting: create dashboards, measure performance, conduct post-analysis of technical initiatives, and share insights with stakeholders to ensure teams are pacing to meet goals
  • Regularly provide recaps, share new findings, and conduct industry case studies
  • Monitor traffic following algorithm updates and create a plan to increase traffic based on the new learnings
  • Keep current with latest SEO technology developments and provide the team, technical leads and stakeholders with SEO recommendations

You have 

  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in SEO with emphasis on SEO technical strategy
  • Track record of increasing organic traffic with measurable results
  • Experience using site analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Experience partnering with development teams to inform key website enhancements
  • At ease presenting in front of a large group, reporting to key stakeholders
  • Data visualization skills to tell compelling stories
  • Experience using popular SEO tools
  • Expert level technical SEO
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal) for cross-functional collaboration
  • Proven ability to work well under the pressure of quick deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
  • Up to date on latest trends and SEO best practices
