The primary purpose of this role is to optimize and integrate Avature with key platforms such as Workday, Salesforce (Jobscience), and ServiceNow, supporting critical HR processes within the Talent Acquisition function. You will lead complex data migrations and develop advanced ETL processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and seamless flow of recruiting data across the HR technology ecosystem.
By collaborating closely with recruiters, HR systems specialists, and cross-functional partners, you will streamline data flows, automate workflows, and deliver solutions that enhance hiring efficiency and contribute to business success. This role is integral to shaping robust data management practices, supporting data cleanup and mapping, contributing to data retention policy definition, and ensuring compliance standards are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, build, and optimize ETL processes to migrate data from legacy systems—such as Jobscience—to Avature, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout each phase of migration.
- Analyze, map, and document source data fields to corresponding target fields, establishing clear data transformation and mapping logic for all migration activities.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues by performing data cleansing, deduplication, and validation tasks to improve the accuracy and usability of migrated data.
- Collaborate with HR technology stakeholders, recruiters, system administrators, and cross-functional partners to gather integration requirements, troubleshoot migration challenges, and develop data solutions with platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
- Coordinate and execute both development-phase data extracts and full production migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal business disruption.
- Support data exports from Avature to analytics platforms such as Snowflake, ensuring proper formatting, secure transfer, and preservation of data integrity.
- Document all ETL processes, migration steps, and data mappings to support transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of data retention policies, ensuring compliance with both regulatory and organizational requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL processes for complex data migrations between enterprise platforms.
- Proficiency with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or equivalent, as well as scripting skills using Python and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data migration concepts, including data mapping, transformation, cleansing, deduplication, and validation.
- Experience analyzing and mapping source and target data fields, including clear documentation of transformation and mapping logic for migrations.
- Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues, performing data cleanup and deduplication to improve reliability and usability.
- Proven attention to data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout all migration and integration processes.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with business stakeholders, system administrators, and subject matter experts to define requirements and troubleshoot data challenges.
- Proficiency in documenting ETL processes, migration steps, and data mappings to support transparency, reproducibility, and compliance.
- Familiarity with data retention, archiving, and compliance practices in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Adaptability to support both development-phase data extracts and full production migrations, adjusting to evolving project needs.
- Moderate experience with Avature, Salesforce-based platforms (such as Jobscience), and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, with the ability to comfortably extract and load data from these systems.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with additional data integration or workflow automation solutions, such as Alteryx or Apache NiFi.
- Familiarity with HR systems beyond those already listed, including Workday integrations and ServiceNow workflows.
- Knowledge of data visualization or reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Talend/Data Integration certifications.
- Understanding of agile methodologies or experience working within agile project teams.
