Currently, we are seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
Position Title: Senior Database Developer
Location: Hybrid - Medellin, Colombia
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a Database Developer with experience building performant, scalable, reliable and testable software solutions as a key part of the CoDE software engineering team. You are expected to be a hands-on developer who has experience working with DBA’s and software developers to design and tune all aspects of our solution that relate to effective information retrieval and storage of our business entities. This includes all CRUD, Data Migration, query and procedure tuning, as well as reporting and analytics needs.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle table, index and other DDL considerations for efficient data operations
- Strong knowledge of Oracle query tuning activities including metrics and AWR reports
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL including stored procedures
- Employ advanced performance tuning techniques and tools to refine system performance
- Experience with GoldenGate, DataGuard, and other high-availability tools
- Experience with DevOps tools and processes such as Git, Jenkins and Ansible
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related subject
- Proven experience with data modeling to store and query for data efficiently
- Proven experience using explain plans, Autotrace statistics, and AWR reports to tune SQL queries and procedures
- Experience with database tools like Toad, SQL Developer, Liquibase, and DataGrip
- Experience with Oracle flashback, DataGuard and DataPump for high-availability and backup
- Experience with Java
- Experience with configuration file maintenance using Git, XML, JSON and YAML
- Experience with Informatica is a plus
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
- Experience in Supply Chain Logistics is a plus
