Senior Data Engineer
Description
Overview:
The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with a Slalom lead. The client currently employs AWS, EKS, and Docker to ingest data from various sources and perform transformations in both real-time and batch modes. We will assist them in developing data models and creating transformation features tailored to specific business use cases. The product must be constructed to be robust, and data quality must undergo stringent checks. Additionally, it should be scalable and equipped with a self-healing mechanism.
Position Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models using Docker/EKS within the AWS environment.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to develop, optimize, and manage complex ETL processes.
- Manage and work simultaneously with multiple database environments.
- Participate in biweekly sprint cadences to iteratively develop features from a prioritized backlog.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team that includes both data engineers and software engineers.
- Continuously improve systems and processes by integrating new technologies and approaches, with experience in OpenSearch and Graph Databases considered a plus.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Python
- SQL
- GIT
- EKS/Docker
- Postgres / Elastic Search / Redis
- AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, SOS, 53, Athena, DynamoDB)
- Experience with developing data solutions, transforming data, ETL pipelines
- Experience delivering end-to-end project/product
- Experience in Agile
- Experience in SDLC
