What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help modernize and scale enterprise-grade systems. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who enjoys building high-performance backend services, improving development practices, mentoring team members, and driving strategic technical initiatives.
You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications while contributing to architectural improvements and long-term platform evolution.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong recent experience with Go (Golang) version 1.20 or higher.
Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Solid knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and coding best practices.
Advanced experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Strong experience with Docker and containerized environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and thrive in a small collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated ability to estimate work, prioritize tasks, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
Experience with React and modern frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), jQuery, and NPM.
Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience refactoring and modernizing large-scale enterprise systems.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
Advanced database expertise, including complex joins, stored procedures, triggers, functions, query optimization, and enterprise-scale database administration.
