We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python/React) with a passion for delivering high-quality web applications. Their role will involve working on our core platform and collaborating with various teams to design, develop, and deliver software systems. The successful candidate will be a proactive, well-rounded developer with a background in environment creation and cloud deployment. They should have a strong penchant for learning, sharing, and mentoring, coupled with exceptional technical and personal communication skills.
Your Duties as a Lean Tech Warrior:
- Design, develop, and deliver software systems that support new product features.
- Work hand in hand with Product Managers to measure, analyze, and improve product metrics.
- Collaborate with UX Developers to execute features that allow users to better interact with our applications.
- Partner with Data Scientists to implement experiments leveraging machine learning models.
- Ensure continuous build and deployment, particularly the automation of environment creation and deployment in cloud environments.
- Write testable, well-documented frontend and backend code.
- Strive for improvement in processes and technology.
- Keep automation well maintained through a strong software engineering background.
- Explore, evaluate, and support different mechanisms for code execution and deployment.
- Engage in writing documentation and diagrams when appropriate.
- Provide mentorship and improve the team.
Why We’ll Love You:
- Minimum 6 years of dynamic software development experience, specifically in building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
- 6+ years of software development in Python and React.
- A proven track record of making pragmatic engineering decisions while building large web applications in a distributed environment.
- Strong desire towards full-stack development, from optimizing database transactions to building distributed systems and frontend web applications.
- Experience with GitHub, continuous integration, and deployment tools.
- Experience working with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technology.
- Solid background in Computer Science, especially in areas like data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- A record of pursuing self-directed side projects, research, or open-source projects.
- A meticulous approach to security and safety; a dedication to automated testing and data security; and the ability to incorporate security into your thinking at every stage of development.
- Deep understanding of working with APIs.
