Position Title: QA Engineer

What you will be doing: We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to build and lead our Quality Assurance function from the ground up. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will have full ownership of the QA strategy, processes, tooling, and quality standards across the organization.
This is a highly autonomous role for someone who enjoys creating structure, defining best practices, and driving quality initiatives. You'll be responsible for establishing both manual and automated testing processes, implementing test management practices, and ensuring the integrity and correctness of critical business data.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience working in QA roles across at least two different organizations.
- Proven experience establishing or significantly improving QA processes and testing frameworks.
- Strong expertise in data validation, data integrity testing, and correctness verification.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and backend systems.
- Experience creating and managing test cases, test suites, and QA documentation.
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and test automation principles.
- Experience with test management platforms such as Testiny, TestRail, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and defend testing strategies with confidence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with PHP and Laravel applications.
- Experience testing integration-heavy platforms and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments and release management processes.
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks from scratch.
- Understanding of database validation, SQL queries, and backend data verification techniques.
