Position Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Category: Quality Assurance / Software Engineering

Location: Hybrid, based in Medellín, Colombia
What you will be doing:
Drive a high-ownership QA culture and ensure exceptional product quality.
Focus primarily on API-level testing, serving as the main technical focus of the role.
Design, implement, and maintain REST API test automation using an obje ct-oriented programming language.
Independently analyze API contracts, application code, business rules, and system behavior to build comprehensive automated coverage.
Handle UI test automation responsibilities alongside API testing.
Contribute to designing, implementing, and enhancing automation frameworks for both API and UI testing to improve testing efficiency and overall product stability.
Actively participate in requirements analysis and unblock processes efficiently.
Collaborate closely with distributed product and development teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining REST API test automation.
Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.
Experience with UI test automation.
Proven ability to design, implement, and enhance automation frameworks for both API and UI testing.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
Commitment to understanding the product domain deeply.
Proactive communication skills for effective collaboration with distributed teams.
Ability to work independently and take high ownership of the QA process.
