Position Title: Mid/Mid+ UX/UI Designer
Location: Hybrid - Medellin

 

As a Mid/Mid+ UX/UI Designer, you will focus on designing user interactions specifically for POS systems, ensuring they are visually engaging and aligned with our brand guidelines. Your work will directly influence how users interact with our systems, requiring proficiency in tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision. You will develop user-centered designs driven by usability research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and refine design specifications. Working within both web and mobile platforms, you will engage in usability testing and contribute to data-driven design improvements. What you will be doing:
Your work will directly impact how users interact with our systems, helping to create effortless and memorable experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design user interactions for POS systems, focusing on button placement, visual feedback, and multiple input methods, such as touchscreen and keyboard.
  • Develop visually consistent and engaging interfaces and training modules for POS that adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring clarity and coherence.
  • Create user-centered designs by leveraging market analysis, customer feedback, A/B testing, and usability research to enhance user experiences.
  • Audit and design user interfaces for both web and mobile applications using wireframes, prototypes, and various visual design tools.
  • Formulate user personas, scenarios, and flows to guide data-driven design decisions effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure seamless and accurate implementation of design specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive usability testing and analyze feedback to continually refine and optimize user experiences.
  • Present design solutions convincingly to stakeholders by employing mockups, sketches, and visual aids.
  • Remain current with emerging design trends and technologies, fostering continuous innovation within the team.
 
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of UI/UX design experience, specifically in retail or consumer-facing technology.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, checkout processes, and common POS functionalities.
  • Experience designing for retail POS, KDS, kiosks, inventory systems, and touchscreens.
  • Demonstrated ability through a portfolio showcasing user-centered interface design across web and mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in design tools: Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision.
  • Basic understanding of front-end web and mobile development principles for effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments and methodologies.
  • Ability to leverage user data, A/B testing, and usability research for informed design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design decisions to stakeholders.

  • Certification in UX/UI design or related fields.
