What you will be doing:
We are seeking a mid-level SQL specialist to lead the migration and modernization of
our data logic. The primary focus of this role is the conversion of legacy T-SQL or R queries into Google BigQuery SQL, with no additional BigQuery responsibilities beyond SQL development.

Key responsibilities include building new data models in BigQuery from existing specifications, translating complex business rules into efficient SQL, and troubleshooting queries to resolve data quality issues. This is a highly specialized, client-facing position centered exclusively on advanced SQL development and data analysis, with no involvement in data pipeline or ETL processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of relational database structures
and excel at analyzing table schemas to determine the appropriate fields and joins
required for accurate outputs in a fast-paced setting.

- Analyze and convert legacy T-SQL or R code into optimized, high-performance
BigQuery SQL syntax. - Develop and validate SQL logic based on existing data model specifications, determining the correct joins and fields by analyzing relational table structures.
- Translate complex business rules and manual process logic from legacy
systems into efficient and accurate SQL queries. - Diagnose and resolve complex data quality issues and query dependencies by
systematically troubleshooting and debugging SQL code. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data transformations,
business logic implementations, and data models.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with extensive experience writing complex joins,
aggregations, and conditional logic. - Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legacy code, specifically T-SQL or R, for
the purpose of converting business logic into modern SQL queries. - Proven experience in data modeling, including building new models from
specifications and a solid understanding of relational database structures. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to
troubleshooting queries, resolving data quality issues, and analyzing table
structures. - Experience in documenting data transformations and the implementation of
business logic. - Knowledge of SQL performance tuning best practices is preferred.
- A basic understanding of Salesforce data structures is beneficial but not
required.

- Direct hands-on experience with the Google BigQuery platform.
- A foundational understanding of Salesforce data structures and objects.
- Knowledge of SQL performance tuning techniques and best practices.
- Experience in a client-facing role, with strong communication skills for discussing
