Senior Software Engineer   
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and embark on an exciting journey that will redefine the possibilities of software development and allow you to work on a product that thousands of customers use globally. As a hands-on technical problem solver and innovator, you'll lead end-to-end software development activities, collaborating with a talented team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions. With a focus on Agile Scrum methodologies, you'll apply object-oriented thinking, software engineering best practices, and design patterns to deliver exceptional results. You will collaborate closely with product management teams and management to deliver a unique product that powers our customer's success.  
 
Here is more of what you’ll get to do:  
  • This role will require you to work from the office for 2 days.
  • Responsible for designing, developing, and executing software engineering activities to ensure applications meet standards for quality, reliability, security, performance, and architecture requirements. Provide scalable solutions with sound architectural recommendations.
  • Able to design and develop applications using PHP (CakePHP), MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Able to develop components using React and Typescript and have knowledge of microfrontend.
  • Develop third-party integrations through REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and XML outputs.
  • Implement different caching techniques like Redis and Memcached
  • Develop DML and DDL to update databases.
  • Debug existing applications and write unit tests to prove the code works as intended.
  • Work on containerized applications (e.g., Docker).
  • Profile code and database to measure and improve application performance.
  • Research new technologies and incorporate them into our applications per business needs. Analyze and find solutions to infrastructure issues.
  • Work closely with other developers, testing engineers, and product managers in all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Write and maintain documentation supporting the code and application.
  • Learn specifications, internal and external systems, product offerings, and application of LeadVenture standards.
  • Ensure that your deliverables are of very high quality and meet deadlines.
  • Stay current with new technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure we follow best practices/processes/guidelines in all our work.
  
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:   
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology or equivalent Computer Science degree from a recognized University.
  • Relevant experience of 5 to 8 years programming in LAMP stack.
  • Must have skills: Architecture experience, PHP (any framework), MySQL, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML, CSS 3, React, Caching techniques such as Redis & Memcached. Unit testing. Web servers such as Apache and Nginx. CronJobs, Linux/ Ubuntu knowledge.
  • Nice to have skills: Docker, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, CI, Octopus, Any Application performance Management tool experience like Elastic or NewRelic APM, Git.
  • Good knowledge of SaaS model and enterprise/complex applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and distributed product teams.
  • Strong English spoken and written skills. Able to collaborate directly with overseas colleagues and stakeholders in different time zones.
  • Experience working in a Software Product company is a strong plus.
