About the Role:

 Are you an experienced scrum master who has lead and coached software development teams? LeadVenture is looking for a scrum master / project coordinator to facilitate daily scrums, work with product owners to help analyze business requirements, develop epics and stories, lead release and sprint planning, and perform retrospective meetings. You will help coach the development team in Agile processes and work with the product owners to develop stories across multiple applications, mitigate blockers, and refine the project backlogs. On occasion, some projects will use other Agile methodologies which will require a solid understanding of software project management principles. You will be working across multiple teams and projects, so you must be very organized and have excellent communication skills.


  • Facilitate daily scrums, weekly backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Coach scrum teams in the use of Agile and Scrum framework practices, while helping the teams to achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity.
  • Assist the Product Owner with backlog refinement, functional and technical creation and vetting of epics and stories, story development and cohesion within and across individual applications, and product roadmap assistance.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.
  • Facilitate communication within and across individual Scrum teams.
  • Work with manager and scrum teams to facilitate development using both Scrum and Kanban approaches.
  • Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the JIRA workflow and metrics derived from the tool to further the team’s insights and productivity.
  • Help coordinate with external development teams and product owners.
  • Organize team-level wiki and other information radiators.
  • Develop project documentation as needed for users and maintenance.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a scrum master for agile development teams, preferably using both both Scrum and Kanban.
  • 3-5+ years web development experience.
  • Comfortable coaching newer teams through agile adoption.
  • Strong understanding of applied agile using different frameworks and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in full SDLC principles.
  • Advanced understanding of software development processes, frameworks, and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizations in the mid-size range.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to effectively and regularly interface with project owners and stakeholders.
  • Independent judgement and problem solving of complex problems.
  • Ability to solve long-term and short-term problems.
  • Attention to detail and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong level of comfort working with geographically distributed, full-time remote teams.

Technical Skills


  • Intermediate understanding of programming techniques independent of programming languages.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in C#, ASP.NET.
  • Ability to be proficient in any language/environment.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Intermediate experience with REST and web services.
  • Intermediate understanding of MVC, MVVM, CQRS, and Repository Pattern.
  • Strong web development skills including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and core client-side libraries.
  • Experience with source/version control (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, TFS, or other similar tools).
  • Intermediate experience with Angular and jQuery.
