Summary
The Supplier Diversity Manager plays a key role in supporting the company's diversity initiatives, ensuring diversity outcomes are achieved in alignment with our core values of honesty, safety, unity, and quality. This position provides focused support within the Healthcare Business Group, fostering capacity building for diverse businesses in a meaningful and impactful way.
Duties
Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
Ensures “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to drive sustainable growth for minority, women-owned, disadvantaged, and veteran businesses.
Monitors and tracks diversity performance metrics to ensure program goals are met.
Supports and grows the Tier 2 program and reporting process.
Assists with project pursuits and presentations to win work across the organization.
Provides quarterly updates on diversity spend and assists with the preparation of RFPs.
Identifies diverse suppliers for upcoming bids and matchmaking opportunities.
Displays ability to mentor and conduct training to help grow diverse businesses.
Collaborates during preconstruction to help identify specific work disciplines that can be awarded to MW/DBE firms.
Visits jobsites to help cultivate relationships with diverse subcontractors and provide assistance.
Oversees the preparation and submission of project-specific utilization plans and updates.
Acts as a liaison for small businesses to help reduce barriers by hosting prequalification workshops, exhibiting outreach events, and connecting to certifying agencies.
Actively supports project meetings as a resource and meets with government officials to share information to help address questions and concerns.
Promotes the company program awareness at jobsites and throughout the company.

Conducts compliance audits on projects with regulatory diversity requirements.
Facilitates community involvement with minority organizations and holds board positions.
Oversees nationally approved minority trade partner database to help create opportunities.
Takes responsibility for diversity and inclusion award submission applications.
Leads efforts to develop supplier diversity strategies for inclusion on projects and engagement.
Education
Has a BA/BS degree in business management, construction management, human resources, procurement, or related field of study or equivalent practical experience.
Has 5+ combined years of experience in subcontracting supplier diversity including MWDBE compliance, community outreach, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Ability to travel 40 - 50% to different project locations.

Ability to prepare and manage a budget involving staff resources, outreach activities, special projects, and collaborations with internal and external clients.
Demonstrated competency in policy research, development, and implementation.
Effective trainer and contributor to development of training and, training materials for internal staff and external clients.
Experience in developing and leading professional staff as an effective unit focused on reaching short- and long-term goals and objectives.
Experience in developing strong and positive vendor relationships through outreach programs, collaborations, partnerships, and innovative initiatives.
