A little about the position:
 
Job Summary
Custodian - Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the manufacturing facility, office, kitchen/breakroom, and restroom areas.  This role performs routine cleaning, waste removal, and restroom sanitation, and supports workplace safety by following required PPE, chemical handling, and housekeeping standards appropriate to a manufacturing setting.
Some of What You Will Do:
  • Clean and maintain fiberglass manufacturing areas, offices, ketchen/brek areas, conference rooms, walkways and common areas.
  • Empty trash,, scrap containers and recycling bins according to safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to fiberglass materials, chemicals, and industrial cleaning products.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while in production areeas.
  • Clean, sanitize and restock restrooms daily, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors and fixtures
  • Report plumbing issues, leaks, or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Clean and sanitize all common areas including tables, counters, sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and floors.
  • Vacuum, dust, mop and clean glass surfaces, doors, and entryways as needed.
  • Ensure offices maintain a professional and orderly appearance.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations
  • Perform routine inspections to identify cleanliness, safety or maintenance issues.
  • Report safety hazards, spills or damaged equipment immediately.
  • Follow all company policies related to safety, attendance, quality and environmental standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism wihile working in office and administrative areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial/manufacturing environment.   
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals.  
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with OHSA safety standards and PPE requirements preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals. 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with OHSA safety standards and PPE requirements preferred.  
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, stand for 8 hour shifts, MUST BE able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to multitask, work on a team, and work independently.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
