Facilities Maintenance Tech
Description
Primary Role: To assist in the maintenance and efficient operation of all physical plant systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance schedule for facility incorporating input from equipment manufacturers and plant personnel
- Perform maintenance tasks independently
- Schedule vendors and supervise/audit third party work as required
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment
- Train production employees in start up / calibration of equipment as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical or Vocational certificate preferred
- 1 year of plant or facility maintenance experience required. Experience in electrical/mechanical trades preferred
- Working knowledge of cranes, fork lifts, pumps and compressors
- Must be a self- motivated and self- driven independent worker
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, organization and time management skills
- Ability to read blueprint and schematic drawings preferred
- Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hour
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, pushing and pulling- approx. 30 plus pounds
- Able to work overtime, off-shifts and weekends as required
