The Human Resources Generalist supports the effective delivery of core HR services at the assigned location and serves as a trusted resource for managers and employees. This role is responsible for day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, payroll support, leave coordination, engagement, and talent acquisition support. The HR Generalist partners closely with site leadership and the broader HR team to promote a positive, compliant, and engaged workplace while helping identify and address workforce trends proactively and lead projects In addition, this role contributes to and leads HR initiatives and projects to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational and business objectives.
- Partner closely with Plant Leadership to align HR strategies with operational goals, ensuring workforce plans support production, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor by coaching and training supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Plant Leadership to proactively identify risks (turnover, engagement, leadership gaps) and implement targeted action plans to mitigate impact.
- Support and guide leaders through change management initiatives, reinforcing consistent communication and adoption across the workforce.
- Champion a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement by modeling strong HR leadership and reinforcing company values.
- Leads and manage employee relations investigations, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including workforce planning, talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, etc.)
- Support compensation and benefits administration, including employee communications and issue resolution
- Participate in and lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- The ideal candidate is both operationally strong and strategically minded, with the ability to influence leaders, mitigate risk, and drive a high-performance culture aligned with business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters and conduct investigations
- Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
