Production Manager
Description
Primary Role: The Production Manager leads the production team, managing daily Production; including Safety, Quality and output for the facility. Supports a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel.
- Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
- Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Follow training and cross training program and implement for production staff.
- Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery while minimizing overtime.
- Maintain a high level of quality by doing regular inspections of products.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems.
- Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager.
- Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Facilitate daily shift meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of HS Diploma with experience; Management or Technical college degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing/Engineering related function.
- Computer and keyboarding skills, including Excel, Databases, and Word Processing.
- Experience with payroll systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired.
- Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations.
Pay Information:
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
