The Fayetteville, TN location manufactures fiberglass pools. Respirators & Safety PPE are required.

Primary Role:  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment, facilities, and preventive maintenance.     

Duties and Responsibilities:     

  1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  2. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  3. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  4. Design and fabricate supporting structures to include but not limited to, frames, tables, workstation aids, etc.
  5. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  6. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
  7. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  8. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  9. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  10. Conserve’s maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  11. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  12. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  13. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  14. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  15. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  16. Carefully read manuals and diagrams of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain them properly.
  17. Prioritize daily work orders according to their level of performance.
  18. Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance.
  19. Maintain inventory levels and stock of replacement parts for shop equipment.
  20. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  21. Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

Qualifications:     

  • 2 – 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process.
  • Good overall understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems as well as HVAC, fluid pumps, air motors, etc. Certification(s) a plus!
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning.
  • Possess the discipline to execute tasks without supervision &/or procrastination.
  • Good time management to work at a good pace, executing work orders and demands.
  • Ability to handle and operate a variety of tools and heavy equipment including but not limited to, hand tools, power tools, air tools forklift scissor lift and telehandler.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions.
  • Good human relations to relate cordially with all team members.
